Product Manager - Graham Professional

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for developing and executing Marketing and Product Portfolio strategies for the Graham Professional business.  This person will effectively manage the creation and development of new products including rigorous VOC (voice of the customer) and implementing commercialization strategies that align with the commercial sales team, distribution partners, and end users to ensure product success.

In this role, this person will develop execute end user contracts that align with our strategic account team and our distribution networks to ensure continued sales growth through properly executed contract negotiations. This role will also provide bench strength to be a funnel for future leadership roles.

Objectives:

  • Strategic Planning and Focus
    • Develop and execute product roadmap portfolio strategies to strengthen the company’s market presence, targeted innovation and rationalize offering
    • Lead identification of market trends, challenges, and potential customers that would be used in mid/long-term strategic planning
    • Develop strategic account contracts and aid in the execution of these contracts with our strategic accounts team
  • Inspiring Excellence
    • Support the overall NPD process and work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Pricing to launch new products and ensure products are commercialized at a worldclass level
    • Support marketing team and create cohesive partnership with sales and operations to alignment of growth initiatives
  • Business Acumen
    • Ability to connect and communicate business initiatives to financial and organizational impact
    • Ability to make decisions with limited information or determine when there is enough information to move forward
  • Leading Change
    • Align marketing team with company change initiatives and be an advocate for the benefits of the change

  • Achievement of desired outcomes for business initiatives and goals
  • Robust NPD roadmap and management of projects including business cases, gate review documents and commercialization
  • Strategic Account team alignment with a focus on overall growth initiatives and contract execution
  • Promotion execution including planning, communication and tracking
  • Robust tradeshow strategy and execution

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field; or 5 or more years’ experience in a similar role
  • 5 or more years of progressive leadership in an industrial marketing environment with a focus on business to business
  • Experience in manufacturing or converting is preferred
  • MBA is a plus

Physical Requirements:

The ability to work in a normal manufacturing environment to include sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time; climbing stairs; operating various standard office equipment; carrying paper documents/files; reaching; bending; twisting; crawling; speaking on the telephone, etc. Some travel may be required. This position is designed to operate on-site.

The ability to wear required personal protection gear (i.e., hearing, eye and foot protection as well as other personal protective equipment such as gloves and aprons, etc.); tolerating loud noise (maximum of 95 dB); tolerating extreme heat, cold and dusty environment.
